Facebook Had To Turn Off Their Robots After They Started To Communicate In Their Own Language (Scary)

Hey, Elon Musk warned us all; “With artificial intelligence, we are summoning the demon. You know all those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram and the holy water and he’s like, yeah, he’s sure he can control the demon? Doesn’t work out.”

But we shouldn’t panic … at least not yet.

Bob and Alice are not two characters from an upcoming comedy starting Will Ferrell as Bob, but they’re actually two machines involved in Facebook’s A.I project.

Facebook is not the only company working on artificial intelligence, but they’re definitely the first company who had to shut down a project because the robots involved were talking to each other in their own language.

At first, the employees assigned to the project taught the communication between the two robots was just gibberish. But after close inspection they found out that they were using code that only they could understand.
